Title: Sleep Like a Baby
Presenter: Melanie Morris, MBA, BSN, RN-BC, CCRN-K, Off-Shift NPD Specialist, Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
Description: This 30-minute webinar, part of the Healthy Nurse series, addresses the importance of sleep in maintaining health. Types of sleep are identified and “rules” for sleep are debunked. Barriers to effective sleep are described, with interventions suggested to mitigate those barriers. Nurses are encouraged to focus on their own health behaviors that promote healthy sleep, leading to wakeful attentiveness and safer practice.
